RAILROAD SIGNALS HOME

John has been working on his railroad for about ten years, an impressive pike built around the coal mining industry prevalent in upper Minnesota.  His railroad is the Superior Central, but we also saw a couple of freights from the Missabe running around.  The HO railroad is approximately 12x14 in size and runs with standard wiring, although a couple of the newer engines are DCC ready when he finds the time to upgrade.  Two people can comfortably run the railroad, but a third can play yardmaster if he wants.  The ship took him about a month to finish in his spare time, and the coal tipple is kit-bashed from two kits.... Nice work on both!  Being a signal guy, I liked the signal he has with the two maintainers working on it :-)

Thanks to John for taking time out of his busy day to take the time to show us around and run a couple of trains for the grand-kids.
