Here's how they did it at 1206 Ridervale......
 

This is what they started with, a rancher style popular in the mid 60's.
Single floor, no basement, closed in carport
1703 Square Feet - It sold in 1974 for $44K and in 1999 for $146K
Spring of 2006

September 18th, 2006

In  tearing down the old house, they brought in a company that specializes in recycling, first thing to go were the windows.  The hardwood floors were taken up and de-nailed, and much of the wood from the roof was also re-cycled.

September 19th, 2006

This thing tore the rest of the house and foundation out.
The concrete from the old slab type foundation was also re-cycled.

The foundation is in for the mostly above grade basement,
18 truck loads of dirt was brought in to make the front yard somewhat flat for the crane and trailers.

Setting the modules into place,
Unfortunately, all but these two were in place by the time I arrived on the scene.
It was darn near dark when they started setting the dormers on  the roof,
And the crew was still putting pieces together after dark on the far side where the last two modules went in.
